Gilles Simeoni (French pronunciation: [ʒil simeɔni], Corsican: [simɛˈɔni]; born 20 April 1967) is a lawyer and politician in Corsica, France. He was mayor of Bastia from 2014 to 2016 and has been president of the executive council of Corsica since 2015. Notably, Simeoni served as the Corsican nationalist Yvan Colonna's lawyer at his trial for the assassination of Claude Érignac.

The European Free Alliance (EFA) is a European political party that consists of various regionalist, separatist and minority political parties in Europe. Member parties advocate either for full political independence and sovereignty, or some form of devolution or self-governance for their country or region. The party has generally limited its membership to centre-left and left-wing parties; therefore, only a fraction of European regionalist parties are members of the EFA. Since 1999, the EFA and the European Green Party (EGP) have joined forces within Greens–European Free Alliance (Greens/EFA) group in the European Parliament, although some EFA members have joined other groups from time to time, for example the New Flemish Alliance which sits with the European Conservatives and Reformists Group.
The EFA is represented in the European Council by Bart De Wever of the New Flemish Alliance, who has served as Prime Minister of Belgium since 2025. Two EU regions are led by EFA politicians: Flanders with Matthias Diependaele of the New Flemish Alliance and Corsica with Gilles Simeoni of Femu a Corsica. The 2017 Corsican territorial elections were held on 3 and 10 December 2017 to elect 63 members of the Corsican Assembly, who in turn determined the composition of the Executive Council of Corsica. The election was held only two years after the 2015 territorial elections, and were called as a result of the planned creation of a single collectivity within Corsica resulting from the mergers of two departments (Haute-Corse and Corse-du-Sud), and the existing territorial collectivity of Corsica.
The nationalist alliance Pè a Corsica between autonomist Femu a Corsica and separatist Corsica Libera won an outright majority of seats in the assembly under the list led by Gilles Simeoni.

Femu a Corsica (Corsican pronunciation: [ˈfɛmu a ˈkorsiɡa]; lit. 'Let's Do Corsica' or 'Let us make Corsica') is a Corsican autonomist political party. It was formed for the first time prior to the 2010 French regional elections in the form of a political coalition. The coalition members, Inseme per a Corsica, the Party of the Corsican Nation (PNC) and Chjama Naziunale, merged during the founding congress of the party in Corte on 15 October 2017. The PUDEMU (Pulitica è Demucrazia in Muvimentu) movement also merged into the new party. The PNC was later re-established in 2019. The leader of the party is Gilles Simeoni.
Following the victory of the Pè a Corsica list in the territorial elections of 2017, of which Femu a Corsica was a member alongside Corsica Libera, the party won 28 of the 63 seats in the Corsican Assembly. Gilles Simeoni was reappointed as President of the Executive Council of Corsica, which he has held since 2015. The party won 32 seats in the 2021 elections after the Pè a Corsica coalition split up.
