Thasos (Greek: Θάσος, Thásos) is a town on the island of Thasos in northern Greece. It is the capital and main town of the island. The town is also called Limenas Thasou or for short just Limenas (Greek: Λιμένας Θάσου, Liménas Thásou, "Harbour of Thasos") to distinguish the town from the island on which it is situated. The town is located on the northeast corner of the island, approximately 17 nautical miles (31 km) south of Kavala.

Thasos (Greek: Θάσος [ˈθas̠os̠]) is a Greek island in the northern Aegean Sea. It is the northernmost major Greek island, and 12th largest by area.

The island has an area of 380 km and a population of about 13,000. It forms a separate regional unit within the East Macedonia and Thrace region. Before the local administration reform of 2011, it was part of the Kavala Prefecture. The largest town and the capital is Thasos, officially known as Limenas Thasou, "Port of Thasos", situated on the northern side. It is connected with the mainland by regular ferry lines between Keramoti and Thasos town, and between the regional centre of Kavala and Skala Prinou.

Prinos (Greek: Πρίνος) is a village on the island of Thasos in northern Greece. The village is located in the northwest of the island, 17.4 km southwest from the island's capital and main port of Limenas, and 21.8 km north of Limenaria (in the south of Thasos). The village of Skala Prinou (Σκάλα Πρίνου) is home to the second largest ferry port on the island, with regular routes to Kavala and twice weekly to Nea Peramos which is only for commercial traffic, on mainland Greece.

The village of Prinos hosts a market each Monday.
