The Small Adzhalyk Estuary or Hryhorivsky Estuary is a brackish water area in southern Ukraine, located 30 kilometres (19 mi) north-east of Odesa. In the lower part (left bank) of the estuary, the Pivdennyi Port is located there. The estuary is connected with the sea by the navigation canal 3 km length and 14 m depth.The length of the estuary is about 12 km, width from 300 m in upper part to 1.3 km in lower part.

Pivdenne (Ukrainian: Південне, IPA: [piu̯ˈdɛnːe]), formerly known as Yuzhne (Южне; from Russian for 'Southern'), is a port city in Odesa Raion, Odesa Oblast (province) of south-western Ukraine. Pivdenne hosts the administration of Yuzhne urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. It is situated on the country's Black Sea coast. Population: 32,677 (2022 estimate).

Initially created as a settlement of the Odesa Portside Plant in the Small Adzhalyk Estuary, since 1981 it was transformed into a suburb of Odesa within the Suvorovsky District of the city. From the Southern Marine Terminal of the city port, the Odesa–Brody pipeline takes its beginning towards the Western Ukraine.

Small Adzhalyk Estuary in the context of Odesa Portside Plant

Odesa Portside Plant is a chemical-industrial enterprise in Odesa Oblast, Ukraine. The chemical plant is located on the shores of the Small Adzhalyk Estuary and is situated next to Pivdennyi Port through which chemical cargo is transshipped. The key stake belongs to Group DF.

In May 2022, the plant was shelled by Russians missiles.
