Ordu Province (Turkish: Ordu ili) is a province and metropolitan municipality of Turkey, located on the Black Sea coast. Its area is 5,914 km, and its population is 763,190 (2022). Its adjacent provinces are Samsun to the northwest, Tokat to the southwest, Sivas to the south, and Giresun to the east. Its license-plate code is 52. The capital of the province is the city of Ordu.

Sinop Province (Turkish: Sinop ili) is a province of Turkey, along the Black Sea. It is located between 41 and 42 degrees North latitude and between 34 and 35 degrees East longitude. Its area is 5,717 km, equivalent to 0.73% of Turkey's total area, and its population is 220,799 (2022). The borders total 475 km and consists of 300 km of land and 175 km seaside borders. Its adjacent provinces are Kastamonu on the west, Çorum on the south, and Samsun on the southeast.

Atakum is a municipality and district of Samsun Province, Turkey. Its area is 351 km, and its population is 242,171 (2022). Atakum is a largely middle class suburban district located to the west of the primary city of Samsun and further suburban Ondokuzmayıs. The city's population expanded rapidly beginning in the 1990s and continues to grow at a healthy pace. The city consists largely of middle class housing blocks with ground floor retail and a mix of office uses. In 2009, the city undertook a significant waterfront redevelopment campaign which entailed the construction of a beachfront and pedestrian promenade. Construction of the waterfront promenade and Tram was led by former Samsun Province governor Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz. The city is served by the Samsun Tram which runs down the median of İsmet İnönü Caddesi.

Ondokuz Mayıs University is located on the western edge of the city and is serviced by the University Station on the Samsun Tram. Atakum's mayor is Serhat Türkel of the Republican People's Party.

Oymaağaç is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Vezirköprü, Samsun Province, Turkey. Its population is 1,649 (2022). The Bronze Age Hittite settlement Nerik is situated near Oymaağaç.

Vezirköprü is a municipality and district of Samsun Province, Turkey. Its area is 1,674 km, and its population is 90,308 (2022). It is named after the Ottoman Albanian grand vizier Köprülü Mehmed Pasha.

19 Mayıs (Ondokuz Mayıs, "19 May") is a municipality and district of Samsun Province, Turkey. Its area is 234 km, and its population is 26,989 (2022). The mayor is Osman Topaloğlu (AKP).

Canik is a municipality and district of Samsun Province, Turkey. Its area is 264 km, and its population is 100,641 (2022). It is located to the east of the city center of Samsun.

Canik means land of Tzan/Can Laz people and became one of the four town municipalities under the patronage of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality in 1994. The region was largely settled by middle and lower working-class people in those days, but recent years made a big impact in the local economy. In 2008 the district Canik was created from part of the former central district of Samsun, along with İlkadım and Atakum. At the 2013 Turkish local government reorganisation, the rural part of the district was integrated into the municipality, the villages becoming neighbourhoods.

Tekkeköy is a municipality and district of Samsun Province, Turkey. Its area is 326 km, and its population is 56,318 (2022). It covers the easternmost part of the city of Samsun.

Agriculture and animal breeding are the main sources of income. Black Sea Copper Works Inc., Samsun fertilizer Factory, the Organized Industry Site, Industrial Site and Organized Food Industry Site, fertilizer and forging industry, along with a gas-fired power plant, many surgical instrument manufacturing companies and other manufacturers have facilitated an economically dynamic area.
