Phillip Jack Brooks (born October 26, 1978), better known by his ring name CM Punk, is an American professional wrestler and actor. As of November 2023, he is signed to WWE, where he performs on the Raw brand and is the World Heavyweight Champion in his record-tying second reign. Regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, he is known for his outspoken and confrontational straight edge persona, which is based on his real-life experiences. His 434-day reign as WWE Champion is the 10th-longest world title reign in the company's history.

Brooks began his wrestling career on the independent circuit in 1997. He signed with Ring of Honor (ROH) in 2002, where he won the ROH World Championship once and was one of the inaugural inductees into the ROH Hall of Fame in 2022. Brooks signed with WWE in 2005 and won the WWE Championship twice, the now-defunct World Heavyweight Championship three times, the ECW Championship, the Intercontinental Championship and the World Tag Team Championship once each. Brooks also won the Money in the Bank ladder match in 2008 and 2009 (making him its only back-to-back winner), was named Superstar of the Year at the 2011 Slammy Awards, and was voted PWI Wrestler of the Year in 2011 and 2012. After acrimoniously leaving WWE in 2014, Brooks retired from wrestling but returned in 2021 when he joined All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he won the AEW World Championship twice. Brooks was fired in September 2023 after backstage controversies and returned to WWE two months later, where he has since headlined multiple major pay-per-view and livestreaming events, including WrestleMania 41 – Night 1, and won the newer version of the World Heavyweight Championship twice.

Christopher Daniel Covell (born March 24, 1970), better known by the ring name Christopher Daniels, is an American retired professional wrestler. He is signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he works as the Head of Talent Relations and is the on-screen manager for Sky Flight (Dante Martin, Darius Martin, Leila Grey, and Scorpio Sky). He is best known for his time in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) and Ring of Honor (ROH), as well as extensive time on the independent circuit; he is known as the "King of Indies" for his work with independent promotions across the world, including Frontier Wrestling Alliance (FWA), International Wrestling Cartel (IWC), and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG).

Daniels has won 20 total championships between Impact, ROH, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), with three reigns as Impact X Division Champion, six reigns as NWA World Tag Team Champion, and two reigns as Impact World Tag Team Champion during his time with Impact Wrestling; one reign as ROH World Champion, one reign as ROH World Television Champion, four reigns as ROH World Tag Team Champion, and one reign as ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion while wrestling for ROH; and one reign as IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion in NJPW.

Jonathan Whitcombe (born 19 April 1977) is an English professional wrestler, better known by his ring name Jonny Storm. He has worked for many independent promotions across the United Kingdom, including the Frontier Wrestling Alliance, Real Quality Wrestling and One Pro Wrestling. He has also worked in the United States, for promotions such as Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Combat Zone Wrestling, and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, as well as working in Japan.

The Triple Crown is an accomplishment recognized by various professional wrestling promotions. It is a distinction made to a professional wrestler who has won three of a single promotion's championships; specifically, a world championship, another singles championship, and a tag team championship. Promotions to officially recognize Triple Crown winners include WWE, All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), Ring of Honor (ROH), Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), and National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) as well as the defunct promotions World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), and Lucha Underground.

The Grand Slam is an accomplishment recognized by various professional wrestling promotions in the United States and Japan. It is a distinction given to a professional wrestler who has either won four specific championships within a promotion throughout their career, or all available championships. Promotions that recognize this include WWE (since 1997), Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (since 2009), Ring of Honor (since 2018), New Japan Pro-Wrestling (since 2021), and All Elite Wrestling (since 2025). In professional wrestling, the independent circuit (often shortened to the indie circuit or the indies) is the collective name of independently owned promotions which are deemed to be smaller and more regionalized than major national promotions.

Independent promotions are essentially viewed as a minor league or farm system for the larger national promotions, as wrestlers in "indie" companies (especially young wrestlers just starting their careers, and wrestlers in larger Indie promotions) are usually honing their craft with the goal of being noticed and signed by a major national promotion such as WWE, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) (which also owns Ring of Honor (ROH)), or Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in the United States, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (which is owned by WWE) or Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in Mexico, or New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Dragongate, All Japan Pro Wrestling, World Wonder Ring Stardom or one of the CyberFight promotions in Japan. It is also not uncommon for veteran wrestlers who have had past tenures with major promotions to appear on independent shows, either as special attractions or as a way to prolong their careers as free agents. There are also plenty of wrestlers who also wish to not sign with any of the major promotions and therefore primarily depend on the independent circuit for work.

The ROH World Championship is a professional wrestling world championship created and promoted by Ring of Honor (ROH). It is considered the most prestigious title in the promotion. The current champion is Bandido, who is in his second reign. In addition to being in ROH, the championship is also defended on All Elite Wrestling's (AEW) programs, as AEW and ROH are both owned by Tony Khan.

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is an American professional wrestling promotion headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. It is owned and operated by Shahid Khan and Tony Khan, with the latter serving as president and chief executive officer.

AEW was founded in 2019 by Shahid Khan and Tony Khan, with professional wrestlers Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, and Matt and Nick Jackson serving as initial co-executive vice presidents, following the success of the independent wrestling event All In in 2018. AEW's roster primarily appears on its weekly broadcast television shows Dynamite and Collision, as well as on its streaming and pay-per-view (PPV) programming. AEW wrestlers have also appeared at events produced by or co-produced with other promotions, including Ring of Honor (ROH), which was acquired by Khan in 2022. AEW's programming is available in 220 territories in 50 languages.
