Paetongtarn Shinawatra (born 21 August 1986) is a Thai politician and businesswoman who served as the 31st prime minister of Thailand from 2024 until her removal from office in 2025. She led the Pheu Thai Party from 2023 until her resignation in 2025.

Paetongtarn was born into the prominent Shinawatra family as the youngest child of the 23rd prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and niece of the 28th prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra. After graduating from Chulalongkorn University and the University of Surrey, she began a career in business before entering politics. In 2024, Paetongtarn became the youngest prime minister of Thailand and the second woman to hold the position, following her aunt. She has also served as Minister of Culture since 30 June 2025.

Thaksin Shinawatra (Thai: ทักษิณ ชินวัตร, RTGS: Thaksin Chinnawat [tʰák.sǐn tɕʰīn.nā.wát] ; born 26 July 1949) is a Thai former politician, businessman, and police officer who served as the 23rd prime minister of Thailand from 2001 until his overthrow in 2006. Since 2009 he has also been a citizen of Montenegro.

Thaksin founded the mobile phone operator Advanced Info Service (AIS) and the information technology and telecommunications conglomerate Shin Corporation in 1987, ultimately making him one of the richest people in Thailand. He founded the Thai Rak Thai Party (TRT) in 1998 and, after a landslide electoral victory, became prime minister in 2001. He was the first democratically elected prime minister of Thailand to serve a full term and was re-elected in 2005 by an overwhelming majority.

Yingluck Shinawatra (Thai: ยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร, RTGS: Yinglak Chinnawat, pronounced [jîŋ.lák tɕʰīn.nā.wát] ; born 21 June 1967) is a Thai businesswoman, politician and a member of the Pheu Thai Party who was the 28th prime minister of Thailand from 2011 to 2014. Yingluck was Thailand's first female prime minister and its youngest in over 60 years. She was removed from office on 7 May 2014 by a Constitutional Court decision.

Born in Chiang Mai Province into a wealthy family of Chinese descent, Yingluck Shinawatra earned a bachelor's degree from Chiang Mai University and a master's degree from Kentucky State University, both in public administration. She then became an executive in the businesses founded by her elder brother, Thaksin Shinawatra and later became the president of property developer SC Asset and managing director of Advanced Info Service. Thaksin served as prime minister from 2001 until 2006 when he was overthrown by a military coup. He fled abroad shortly before he was convicted in absentia of using his position to increase his own wealth. Thereafter, he lived in self-imposed exile to avoid serving his prison sentence until he returned to Thailand in August 2023.

Anutin Charnvirakul (born 13 September 1966) is a Thai politician and businessman who has served as the 32nd prime minister of Thailand since 2025. He has also led the Bhumjaithai Party since 2012 and has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2019.

Born into a wealthy family in Bangkok, Anutin was educated in Thailand and the United States, earning a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Hofstra University in 1989 and a master's degree in business administration from Thammasat University in 1990. He joined Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction (STECON), a family-owned construction company, where he became president in 1995. During his tenure, he played a major role in several large-scale infrastructure projects, most notably the construction of Suvarnabhumi Airport. Anutin began his political career in 1996 as a member of the Thai Rak Thai Party. He later served as advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Commerce in 2004, and Deputy Minister of Public Health from 2004 to 2006, during the premiership of Thaksin Shinawatra. Following the dissolution of the Thai Rak Thai Party in 2007, he was among the 111 executives banned from politics for five years.
