Pembroke (/ˈpɛmbrʊk/ PEM-brook) is a city in eastern Ontario, Canada, located at the confluence of the Muskrat River and the Ottawa River in the Ottawa Valley. It lies approximately 145 kilometres (90 mi) northwest of Ottawa. Pembroke serves as the administrative centre of Renfrew County but is governed as a single-tier municipality, independent of the county government. As of the 2021 Census, the city had a population of 14,364.
