The American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of North America (ACROD) is a archdiocese of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the United States and Canada. Though the diocese is directly responsible to the Patriarchate, it is under the spiritual supervision of the Primate of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. As of 2010, there are 79 parishes with 10,400 adherents, of which 4900 regularly attend. There are no monasteries.The diocese was led by Metropolitan Nicholas (Smisko) of Amissos (1936โ€“2011). The current leader is the Metropolitan of Nyssa, Gregory (Tatsis), who was consecrated on November 27, 2012.

Metropolitan Gregory (Secular name: George Tatsis) (b. 7 December 1958) is the primate of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese under the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople since 2012. His full title is: His Eminence Gregory, Metropolitan of Nyssa and Primate of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese.

Gregory was nominated as successor to Metropolitan Nicholas (Smisko) by the Clergy of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese (ACROD) at a Special Assembly on July 13, 2012.
