The Language Council of Norway (Norwegian: SprĆ„krĆ„det, Urban East Norwegian: [ˈsprÓːkròːdə́]) is the administrative body of the Norwegian state on language issues. It regulates the two written forms of the Norwegian language: BokmĆ„l and Nynorsk. It was established in 2005 and replaced the Norwegian Language Council (Norsk sprĆ„krĆ„d, Urban East Norwegian: [ˈnɔʂk ˈsprÓːkrǒːd]) which existed from 1974 to 2005. It is a subsidiary agency of the Ministry of Culture and has forty-four employees (as per 2023). It is one of two organisations involved in language standardization in Norway, alongside the Norwegian Academy.

Riddu Riđđu (Northern Sami pronunciation: [ˈridː.tuː ˌriư.ưuː]) is an annual SĆ”mi music and culture festival held in OlmmĆ”ivĆ”ggi (Manndalen) in the GĆ”ivuotna Municipality (also known as KĆ„fjord Municipality) in Norway. The goal of the festival is to bring forward both SĆ”mi culture and that of other indigenous peoples. Translated to English, the name of the festival is "small storm at the coast". The festival has permanent support from the Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs, the SĆ”mi parliament, Troms county and KĆ„fjord municipality.

Riddu Riđđu includes concerts, seminars, performances, youth camp, stage art, literature, children's program, Northern People's program, youth camp, film program, courses (workshops), art exhibition, market (bazaar), indigenous houses and much more.
