Megalopoli (Greek: Μεγαλόπολη, romanizedMegalópolē) is a town in the southwestern part of the regional unit of Arcadia, southern Greece. It is located in the same site as ancient Megalopolis (Ancient Greek: Μεγαλόπολις, romanizedMegalópolis, lit.'large/great city'). When it was founded in 371 BC, it was the first large urbanization in rustic Arcadia. Its theatre had a capacity of 20,000 visitors, making it one of the largest ancient Greek theatres.

Today, Megalopoli has several schools, shops, churches, hotels and other services. The population of Megalopoli in 2021 was 5,344 residents.

Parrhasia (Greek: Παρρασία) was a region in south Arcadia, Greece. Parrhasius, son of Lycaon gave it his name.

Today, the area corresponds to modern southwestern Arcadia, west of Megalopoli, and southeastern Elis. The nymph of Artemis named Callisto, whom the goddess Hera made into a bear and Zeus later made into the constellation Ursa Major, was said to come from Parrhasia. Figaleia (Greek: Φιγαλεία) is a mountain village and a former municipality in Elis, West Greece, Greece. Since the administrative reform of 2011 it is a municipal unit of the municipality of Zacharo. The municipal unit has an area of 89.175 km. In 2021 the population was 50 for the village and 1,250 for the municipal unit. The seat of the municipality was in Nea Figaleia. Figaleia is located south of Andritsaina, west of Megalopoli, north-northwest of Kalamata, northeast of Kyparissia and southeast of Pyrgos. Figaleia is located in mountainous southern Elis. The river Neda flows through the municipal unit. The name was taken from the ancient city-state of Phigaleia, which was located near the present village.

Leontari (Greek: Λεοντάρι, meaning Lion in English) is a village and a community in the southwestern part of Arcadia, Greece, seat of the former municipality of Falaisia. It is situated on a hillside, 6 km east of Paradeisia, 9 km northwest of Kamara and 9 km south of Megalopoli. The community consists of the villages Leontari, Gavria, Kalyvia, Kamaritsa and Kotsiridi, with a population of 227 (2021 census). Leontari has several monuments from the Byzantine era, including the richly decorated 14th century Church of the Holy Apostles. The area suffered damage from the 2007 Greek forest fires. It is considered a traditional settlement.

The community consists of the villages Anavryto and Kato Anavryto, 1 km south of Anavryto. Both villages are on the southwestern slope of mount Tsemperou. Anavryto is 3 km southeast of Anemodouri, 3 km northeast of Voutsaras and 11 km southeast of Megalopoli. The village has a school and a church named Agia Marina. Anavryto suffered damage from the 2007 Greek forest fires.
