Jaisalmer district is the largest district in the Indian state of Rajasthan, and the third largest district in India. Located in Marwar (Jodhpur Division), the city of Jaisalmer is the administrative headquarters of the district. It is around 289 km (180 mi) from the city of Jodhpur, and around 559 km (347 mi) from Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. As of the 2011 population census, it is the least populous district out of all 50 districts in Rajasthan.
Sawai Madhopur (IAST: Savāī Mādhōpur, IPA: [səˈʋaːiː ˈmaːdʱoːpʊɾ]) is a city in the south-eastern part of the Indian state of Rajasthan. It serves as the administrative headquarter of the Sawai Madhopur district, and forms a part of the Bharatpur division.
The city is known for its historical significance, cultural heritage, and ecological importance. It is located near Ranthambore National Park, one of India's most prominent wildlife reserves, situated approximately 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) from the city. The national park is a major attraction for wildlife enthusiasts and tourists. Also located in the vicinity is the Ranthambore Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which adds to the city's cultural and architectural prominence.
Bikaner (IPA: [biːkaːneːɾ] ) is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is situated approximately 330 kilometres (205 mi) northwest of the state capital, Jaipur, in the Thar Desert region of western Rajasthan. Bikaner serves as the administrative headquarters of Bikaner District and Bikaner division. Formerly the capital of the princely Bikaner State, the city was founded in 1488 CE by Rao Bika, a Rajput chief of the Rathore dynasty. From its small origins it has developed into the fourth largest city in Rajasthan. The Ganga Canal, completed in 1928, and the Indira Gandhi Canal, completed in 1987, facilitated its development.
Ajmer district is a district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is part of the Ajmer division–one of the seven administrative divisions of Rajasthan. The city of Ajmer is the district headquarters. The district is situated in the center of Rajasthan, and is bounded by Didwana Kuchaman district to the north, Jaipur Rural and Dudu to the north-east, Tonk to the east, Kekri and Beawar to the south, and Nagaur to the west. It has an area of 8,481 km (3,275 sq mi), and a population of 2,583,052 (2011 census).
