European route E75 in the context of "Katerini"

The Medžitlija-Níki border crossing linking North Macedonia with Greece is one of the three transit points for road vehicles between the two states. Situated about 190 km from Thessaloniki and the same to Skopje, it also once served as Yugoslavia's southernmost exit. It is located on the European route E65.

Despite linking the important city of Bitola with the regions of western Greece including Corfu and other holiday spots, it is the other crossing Evzoni-Bogorodica which is of greater significance as it forms a part of the E75 express route. The region around Medžitlija-Níki is far less developed on both sides of the border.

Mäntsälä (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈmæntsælæ]) is a municipality in the province of Southern Finland, and is part of the Uusimaa region. It has a population of 20,966(30 June 2025) and covers an area of 596.11 square kilometres (230.16 sq mi) ofwhich 15.26 km (5.89 sq mi)is water. The population density is36.1 inhabitants per square kilometre (93/sq mi). The municipality is unilingually Finnish. Mäntsälä is one of three municipalities in the Uusimaa region that do not have a Swedish name; the others are Nurmijärvi and Askola.

Mäntsälä lies about 60 kilometres (40 mi) north of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. During the last few years, the population of Mäntsälä has been one of the most rapidly increasing in Finland. A new railway, the Kerava–Lahti railway line, was built between Kerava and Lahti with passenger traffic starting on 4 September 2006 from Mäntsälä railway station. Helsinki is about 40 minutes away, and Lahti even closer. Highway 4 (E75) connecting both cities passes through Mäntsälä.

Evzonoi (Greek: Εύζωνοι, pronounced [ˈevzoni], before 1927: Ματσίκοβο - Matsikovo, Greek pronunciation: [maˈt͡sikovo], Macedonian: Мачуково, Bulgarian: Мачуково, Machukovo) is a town in Kilkis regional unit in Central Macedonia, Greece. The main border crossing between Greece and North Macedonia is located here. The village across the border from Evzonoi is Bogorodica, in Gevgelija municipality. The Greek A1 motorway from Athens, which is part of the European route E75, ends here.

Between 13 and 14 September 1916, during the Salonika Campaign, the King's Liverpool Regiment and Lancashire Fusiliers stormed and took the village which was held by German forces. But the village was too exposed to the enemy's artillery fire, and the British were forced to retreat.

Sodankylä (Finnish: [ˈsodɑŋˌkylæ]; Northern Sami: Soađegilli [ˈso̯ɑðeˌkilːiː]; Inari Sami: Suáđigil; Skolt Sami: Suäʹđjel) is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the region of Lapland, and lies at the northern end of Highway 5 (E63) and along Highway 4 (E75). The Kitinen River flows near the center of Sodankylä. Its neighbouring municipalities are Inari, Kemijärvi, Kittilä, Pelkosenniemi, Rovaniemi, and Savukoski. The municipality has two official languages: Finnish and Northern Sami.

The municipality has a population of 8,067, (30 June 2025) which makes it the fourth largest municipality in Lapland after Rovaniemi, Tornio and Kemi, and at the same time the largest municipality in population that does not use the title of city or town. It covers an area of 12,415.50 square kilometres (4,793.65 sq mi) of which 718.65 km (277.47 sq mi) is water, making it the second largest municipality in Finland in terms of area, right after its neighboring municipality of Inari. The population density is 0.69 inhabitants per square kilometre (1.8/sq mi).

Finnish national road 4 (Finnish: Valtatie 4 or Nelostie; Swedish: Riksväg 4 or Riksfyran; also known as Lahti Highway (Finnish: Lahdenväylä; Swedish: Lahtisleden) in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area) is a highway in Finland. It is the main route from Helsinki to Northern Finland and a major road link in the country. It runs from Erottaja in Helsinki to Sami Bridge in Utsjoki. The road is 1,295 kilometres (805 mi) long, making it Finland's longest highway. The road is also part of the European route E75 and of TERN; the section between Oulu and Kemi is part of the European route E8.

Sitia (Latin and Italian) or Siteia (Greek: Σητεία, Siteía [siˈtia]) is a port town and a municipality in Lasithi, Crete, Greece. The town has 11,166 inhabitants and the municipality has 20,438 (2021). It lies east of Agios Nikolaos and northeast of Ierapetra. Sitia's port is on the Sea of Crete, part of the Aegean Sea and is one of the economic centers of the Lasithi region. European route E75 (which ends in Vardø, Norway) starts in Sitia. The town is served by the Sitia Public Airport. It has not experienced the effects of mass tourism even though there is a long beach along the road leading to Vai and several places of historical interest.
