European Parliament constituency in the context of "Northwest Italy"

Central Italy (Italian: Italia centrale or Centro Italia) is one of the five official statistical regions of Italy used by the Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT), a first-level NUTS region with code ITI, and a European Parliament constituency. As of 2025, it has over 11 million inhabitants.

Northeast Italy (Italian: Italia nord-orientale or just Nord-est) is one of the five official statistical regions of Italy used by the National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT), a first level NUTS region and a European Parliament constituency. Northeast encompasses four of the country's 20 regions:

• Emilia-Romagna
• Friuli-Venezia Giulia
• Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol
• Veneto

The 1979 European Parliament election was a series of parliamentary elections held across all 9 (at the time) European Community member states. They were the first European elections to be held, allowing citizens to elect 410 MEPs to the European Parliament, and also the first international election in history.

Seats in the Parliament had been allocated to the states according to population, and in some cases were divided into constituencies, but members sat according to political groups.

In European elections, Italian Islands is a constituency of the European Parliament. It consists of the regions of Sardinia and Sicily.

As in the other Italian constituencies, it has only a procedural goal to choose the elected MEPs inside party lists, the distribution of seats between different parties being calculated at national level (called Collegio Unico Nazionale, National Single Constituency).

This is a table of the former European Parliament constituencies in the United Kingdom, listing the number of Members of the European Parliament each elected at each European Parliamentary election. The United Kingdom left the European Union on 31 January 2020. As a result, these constituencies no longer exist.

Great Britain was divided into single-member first-past-the-post constituencies from the 1979 election until the 1999 election, when it was divided into twelve multimember D'Hondt party list constituencies. Northern Ireland was a single constituency using Single Transferable Vote from 1979 to 2020.

Denmark is a European Parliament constituency for the elections to the European Parliament covering the Member state of the European Union Denmark, but not other parts of the Danish Realm such as the Faroe Islands or Greenland, which are not a part of the EU. It is currently represented by fifteen Members of the European Parliament. Denmark uses the D'Hondt method of proportional representation. Electoral alliances between two or more parties are allowed.
