Winchester (/ˈwɪntʃɪstər/), or the City of Winchester, is a local government district with city status in Hampshire, England.
The district is named after its main settlement of Winchester, which is where the council is based and is also the county town of Hampshire. The city boundaries also encompass a large surrounding rural area, including the towns of New Alresford and Whiteley and numerous villages.
Northington is a village and civil parish in the City of Winchester district of Hampshire, England. It lies half a mile from the neighbouring village Swarraton, across the Candover stream. Its nearest railway station is at New Alresford, on the Mid-Hants railway line.

New Alresford or simply Alresford (/ˈɒlzfərd/ OLZ-fərd or /ˈɔːlzfərd/ AWLZ-fərd) is a market town and civil parish in the City of Winchester district of Hampshire, England. It is 8.0 miles (12.9 km) northeast of Winchester and 12 miles (20 km) southwest of the town of Alton.
New Alresford, situated with the River Alre to its north, has a remarkably well preserved 17th and 18th Century high street which offers several shops, a tourist information centre, a central conservation area, and several tea rooms and pubs. The western terminus of the Watercress Line heritage railway is at Alresford railway station in the town.

Warnford is a village and civil parish in the City of Winchester district of Hampshire, England. The parish covers 1283 hectares (3170 acres). The village lies on the A32 in the upper valley of the River Meon between West Meon and Exton. The population in 2019 was estimated at 220. The village is rural in character, with most of the buildings along River Lane, Lippen Lane and Hayden Lane.
The George and Falcon pub and hotel, which is grade II listed and dates to the 18th century is located on the A32 near the centre of the village.
