In Greek mythology, Absyrtus (Ancient Greek: Ἄψυρτος) or Apsyrtus was a Colchian prince and the younger brother of Medea. He was involved in Jason's escape with the golden fleece from Colchis.
The Absyrtides were named after him.

- Asterodia, a Caucasian nymph and one of the Oceanids as the daughter of Oceanus and Tethys, mother of Absyrtus by Aeetes.
- Asterodia, a Phocian princess, daughter of King Deion and Diomede, and sister of Aenetus, Phylacus, Actor and Cephalus. She was also called Asteria, the one who bore Crisus and Panopeus to Phocus. These twin brothers did not get along, quarreling while still in their mother's womb.

Absyrtus in the context of Idyia
In Greek mythology, Idyia (Ancient Greek: Ἰδυῖα, romanized: Idyîa) or Eidyia (Ancient Greek: Εἰδυῖα, romanized: Eidyîa; /aɪˈdaɪ.ə/) was a daughter of the Titans Oceanus and Tethys, and queen to Aeëtes, king of Colchis. She was the mother of Medea, Chalciope and Absyrtus. According to Apollonius of Rhodes, she was the youngest of the Oceanides. Her name means "the fair-faced" or "the knowing one" derived from the Greek word εἴδω (eídō) meaning "to see" or "to know".
Absyrtus in the context of Absyrtides
Absyrtides or Apsyrtides or Apsirtides (Ancient Greek: Ἀψυρτίδες; Italian: Arcipelago delle Absirtidi) was a collective name of two islands off the coast of Illyricum – Cres (Cherso in Italian) and Lošinj (Lussino in Italian), which were almost attached.
The islands were named after Absyrtus, who according to one tradition, was slain here by his sister Medea and by Jason, while according to another story because his dead body was drawn by the waves to the islands.
