The administrative divisions of India are subnational administrative units of India; they are composed of a nested hierarchy of administrative divisions. India consists of 28 States and 8 Union Territories. These are divided into districts (some states group a set of districts as a division), followed by subdistricts (known in different local names like tehsils and talukas), which are divided into blocks, which consist of villages.

Indian states and territories frequently use different local titles for the same level of subdivision (e.g., the mandals of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana correspond to tehsils of Uttar Pradesh and other Hindi-speaking states but to talukas or taluks of Gujarat, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu).

Dahewan is a village in the Borsad taluka of Anand district in Gujarat state of India. Dahewan is a Gram Panchayat.

Panaji (/ˈpʌnədʒi/; Goan Konkani: Ponnjem, IPA: [pɵɳdʒĩ]), also known as Panjim, is the capital of the Indian state of Goa and the headquarters of North Goa district. Previously, it was the territorial capital of the former Portuguese India. It lies on the banks of the Mandovi river estuary in the Tiswadi sub-district (taluka). The baroque Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church is located overlooking the main square known as Praça da Igreja. Panaji has been selected as one of a hundred Indian cities to be developed as a smart city under the Smart Cities Mission. Panaji's HDI is almost around 0.80, and is considered to be the best amongst other major Indian cities.

This is a list of tehsils of Pakistan, the fourth level of government overall and the middle tier in the local government system. In some areas, the alternative word "taluka" is used but this is merely a historical formality. The list is organised by provinces and territories of Pakistan. Every district of Pakistan is administratively divided into several tehsils. Each tehsil is governed by a Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA), which is focussed around a tehsil/taluka council. The head of each tehsil is a Tehsil/Taluka Nazim, assisted by a tehsil/taluka municipal officer (TMO) and a number of other officials, all of whom are answerable to the tehsil/taluka council. The Islamabad Capital Territory does not have any tehsils, but is instead divided into zones and sectors.

Dadra (/ˈdɑːdrə/) is one of the two talukas in Dadra and Nagar Haveli district, India. It is an enclave lying a few kilometres north west of Nagar Haveli and is surrounded by Gujarat.

Dadra is located 6 km west from district headquarter Silvassa. Dadra consists of Dadra town and two other villages - Demni and Tighra.

The Aminidivi Islands (Malayalam: [ɐminid̪βʷiːbɨ̆]) are one of the three island subgroups in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, India. It is the northern group of the Lakshadweep, separated from the Laccadive Islands subgroup roughly by the 11th parallel north. The total land area of the group is 9.26 km.

Formerly the Union Territory was known as Laccadive, Minicoy, and Amindivi Islands, a name that was changed to Lakshadweep by an act of Parliament in 1973.The Aminidivi group forms a taluka or subdivision. The islands of Amini, Kiltan, Chetlat, Kadmat and Bitra are inhabited. The population numbered 18,876 at the 2001 census and Islam is the main religion of the islanders.
