A bandy ball is a rubber ball used for playing bandy and rink bandy. Bandy balls are manufactured by companies such as Jofa, Kosa, and Reebok.

The core of the ball is made of cork and is surrounded by rubber or rubber-like plastic. Balls should be manufactured in a diameter of 62.4 or 63.8 mm (2.46 or 2.51 in) (the latter is called a "Russian ball"). Originally, bandy balls were red, then later became orange or cerise. According to the Bandy Playing Rules set up by the Federation of International Bandy, any of these are allowed, but all balls used in one game must be of the same colour and type.

Richard Froning Jr. (born July 21, 1987) is an American professional CrossFit athlete known for his achievements participating in the CrossFit Games. He became the first person to win the CrossFit Games title of "Fittest Man on Earth" four times with his first-place finish in the 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 CrossFit Games. He retired from individual competitions after 2014, and led a team from CrossFit Mayhem to first-place finishes in the Team category in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022, at the CrossFit Games.

In addition to making a living off CrossFit, Froning has won over $1,050,000 in prize money from winning the CrossFit Games four times. Additionally, he has accumulated significant sponsorships from brands like Reebok, Oakley, and Rogue Fitness. In early 2015, Reebok released a shoe designed, in part, by Froning.

The CrossFit Games is an annual athletic competition owned and operated by CrossFit, LLC. Athletes compete in a series of events at the Games, which may be various standard CrossFit workouts consisting of metabolic conditioning exercises, weightlifting, and gymnastics movements, as well as a range of activities from other sports such as swimming, road cycling and strongman. The events generally are not revealed before the Games, can include unexpected elements to challenge the athletes' readiness to compete, and they are designed to test the athletes' fitness using CrossFit's own criteria. Winners of the CrossFit Games earn cash prizes and the title of "Fittest on Earth."

The competition started in 2007 and has been held every year since, normally in the summer. The first competition was held at a ranch in Aromas, California, with small groups of participants and spectators, but the CrossFit Games rapidly grew, and within a few years, the competition was moved to larger venues at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, followed by the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin. It was held in the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas in 2024. The Games were sponsored by Reebok from 2011 to 2020, and by Nobull from 2021 to 2023.

Jofa is a Swedish brand of ice hockey equipment owned by Birch Hill Equity Partners through its portfolio company Sport Maska Inc. The brand originated in the company Jonssons Fabriker AB, later renamed Jofa AB, which was founded in Malung, Sweden in 1926 by Niss Oskar Jonsson (1909–2002). Jofa was a pioneer in the development of the plastic helmet, which was worn most notably by Wayne Gretzky.

Since 1973, ownership of Jofa has changed continually. That year, Jonsson sold his company to Volvo, who then sold the company in 1985 to Karhu. In 1989, Jofa was sold to Karhu's Canadian arm, Karhu Canada Inc., later renamed the Sports Holdings Corporation. The SHC was acquired in late 1998 by SLM International, which in March 1999 was renamed The Hockey Company. In 2004, Reebok acquired The Hockey Company and its portfolio of brands, which included Jofa, CCM, Koho, Titan, Canadien, and Heaton. After the sale, all brands save CCM were phased out. A year later, Adidas purchased Reebok.
