Andros (Greek: Άνδρος), also called Chora (Χώρα, "main town"), is a town and a former municipality on the island of Andros, in the Cyclades, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Andros, of which it is a municipal unit, and shares the island of Andros with the municipal units of Korthio and Ydrousa. The municipal unit has an area of 102.756 km. Its population was 3,918 inhabitants at the 2021 census.

It has a mixture of post-World War I neoclassical mansions with vernacular Cycladic houses. The town squares are paved with marble. At the end of the headland are two islands. The first, linked to the mainland by a brick bridge, with a ruined Venetian castle and the second with a lighthouse. There are four museums: the extensive Archaeological Museum, Museum of Modern Art, a Nautical Museum and a Folklore Museum.

Andros (Greek: Άνδρος, pronounced [ˈanðros]) is the northernmost island of the Greek Cyclades archipelago, about 10 km (6 mi) southeast of Euboea, and about 3 km (2 mi) north of Tinos. It is nearly 40 km (25 mi) long, and its greatest breadth is 16 km (10 mi). It is for the most part mountainous, with many fruitful and well-watered valleys. The municipality, which includes the island Andros and several small, uninhabited islands, has an area of 380 km (147 sq mi). The largest towns are Andros, Gavrio, Batsi, and Ormos Korthiou.

Palaeopolis, the ancient capital, was built into a steep hillside, and the breakwater of its harbor can still be seen underwater. At the village of Apoikia, there is the notable spring of Sariza, where the water flows from a sculpted stone lion's head. Andros also offers hiking options with many new paths being added each year.

Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Andros, of which it is a municipal unit. Its population was 1,706 inhabitants at the 2021 census, and its land area is 81.918 km². It shares the island of Andros with the municipal units of Andros and Ydrousa.

It has a land area of 195.367 km and is the largest of the three municipal units on the island of Andros, covering over half of its territory. The seat of the municipality was in Gavrio. The municipal unit shares the island of Ándros with the municipal units of Andros (town) and Korthio.
