Presqu'île in the context of "Saône"

The Place des Terreaux (French pronunciation: [plas de tɛʁo] ) is a square located in the centre of Lyon, France, on the Presqu'île between the Rhône and the Saône rivers, at the foot of the hill of La Croix-Rousse in the 1st arrondissement. It borders both the Hôtel de Ville and Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon. The square belongs to the zone classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The Hôtel-Dieu de Lyon (French pronunciation: [otɛl djø də ljɔ̃]) was a hospital of historical significance situated on the right bank of the Rhône river in Lyon, on the Presqu'île (the peninsula between the Saône and Rhône which run through the city centre). It has been out of use since 2010. As part of the Presqu'île district, the building was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List along with other buildings within Lyon's historic centre. In 2019, an InterContinental hotel opened in the renovated building.

The Church of Saint-Nizier (French: Église Saint-Nizier) is a church in the Presqu'île district of Lyon, France, in the 2nd arrondissement, between the Place des Terreaux and the Place des Jacobins. Its name refers to Nicetius of Lyon, a bishop of the city during the 6th century. Begun in the 14th century and only completed in the 19th century, the church contains a variety of architectural styles, ranging from the neo-Gothic spire to the classical Renaissance facade. In 1998, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List along with other historic buildings in Lyon.
