Pirouz Hanachi (Persian: پیروز حناچی; born 11 June 1963) is an Iranian architect, reformist politician and the former mayor of Tehran, succeeding Mohammad-Ali Afshani.
Hanachi served as deputy mayor for technical and development. He was appointed deputy mayor for urban development and architecture before his appointment as Tehran's mayor.
The Mayor of Tehran is an elected politician who, along with the City Council of 21 members, is accountable for the strategic government of Tehran. Since 2 September 2021, Alireza Zakani is the mayor of Tehran. Previously, the position was held by Pirouz Hanachi, who held office for three years.
