• Periboea, one of the 3,000 Oceanids, water-nymph daughters of the Titans Oceanus and his sister-wife Tethys. She was the mother of Aura by Lelantos.
• Periboea, daughter of the Giant Eurymedon and the mother of Nausithous with Poseidon.
• Periboea, daughter of either King Cychreus of Salamis or of King Alcathous of Megara, her mother in the latter case being either Pyrgo or Evaechme, daughter of King Megareus of Onchestus. She was ravished by Telamon who then fled away; when her father learned of that, he ordered for her to be cast in the sea, but the guard who was to perform that took pity on her and sold her away; the one who bought her happened to be Telamon. She became by him mother of Ajax. She was among the would-be sacrificial victims of Minotaur; while on board the ship, Minos attempted to sexually abuse her but she was defended by Theseus, with whom she later consorted. • Periboea, an alternate name for Merope, the wife of King Polybus of Corinth and mother of Alcinoë. She was the foster mother of Oedipus, future king of Thebes.

In Greek mythology Axius (Ancient Greek: Ἀξιός, romanized: Axios) is a Paeonian river god, the son of Oceanus and Tethys. He was the father of Pelagon, by Periboea, daughter of Acessamenus. His domain was the river Axius, now known as the Vardar, flowing in the ancient region of Macedonia.

The river god was an ancestor of Euphemus and his son, Eurybarus, the hero who slew the drakaina Sybaris.

• Hippalmus, a chieftain of the Arachotes and Dersaioi, who armed themselves against Dionysus in the Indian War. He is father of Billaeus and Pyloites.
• Hippalmus, one of the Calydonian boar hunters who along with Pelagon was attacked by the boar. Their bodies was taken up by their comrades and they survived the attack.
• Hippalmus, alternative name of Hippalcimus, son of Itonus (himself son of Boeotus). He was the father by Asterope of Peneleos, one of the Boeotian leaders.
• Hippalmus, an Achaean warrior who participated in the Trojan War. He was slain by the Amazon queen, Penthesilia.

• Amphidamas, father of Pelagon, king of Phocis, who gave Cadmus the cow that was to guide him to Boeotia.
• Amphidamas or Amphidamantes, father of Clytia who was the possible mother of Pelops and Tantalus' other children.
• Amphidamas or Iphidamas, an Arcadian prince as son of King Aleus and either Neaera or Cleobule. He was one of the Argonauts, along with his brother Cepheus. Amphidamas, was the father of Nausidame who bore Helios a son, Augeas, king of Elis.
• Amphidamas, an Arcadian prince as son of King Lycurgus by either Cleophyle or Eurynome, and thus brother of Ancaeus, Epochus and Iasus. Amphidamas had two children: Melanion, the husband of Atalanta, and Antimache who married King Eurystheus of Tiryns.
• Amphidamas or Iphidamas, son of Busiris, king of Egypt, and possible brother of Melite. He was killed, alongside his father, by Heracles of whom they tried to sacrifice. Some accounts, added the herald Chalbes and the attendants to the list of those slain by the hero.
• Amphidamas, a man from Cythera who was given by Autolycus a helmet to take to Scandea. This cap was previously stolen by the famous thief from the stout-built house of Amyntor, son of Ormenus.
