Kota Iskandar (Jawi: كوتا إسكندر‎) (formerly Johor State New Administrative Centre (JSNAC)) is the administrative centre of the state of Johor, Malaysia and its seat of government (Executive branch and Legislative branch of the Johor state government). It is located in Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru District and it is the first phase of the Iskandar Puteri project. The Iskandar Puteri project itself is a part of Iskandar Malaysia. Kota Iskandar was developed by Cahaya Jauhar and the first phase was completed in 2008.

Johor is a state of Malaysia in the south of the Malay Peninsula. It borders with Pahang, Malacca and Negeri Sembilan to the north. Johor has maritime borders with Singapore to the south and Indonesia to the east and west. As of 2023, the state's population is 4.09 million, making it the second most populous state in Malaysia, after Selangor. Johor Bahru is the capital city and the economic centre of the state, Kota Iskandar is the state administrative centre and Muar serves as the royal capital.

As one of the nation's most important economic hubs, Johor has the highest gross domestic product (GDP) in Malaysia outside of the Klang Valley, making it the country's second largest state economy, behind Selangor. Its household income and total salaries are the second highest among all Malaysian states. Johor has the world's second largest artificial intelligence hub, robust manufacturing and logistics centres, and home to the Port of Tanjung Pelepas, the 15th busiest port in the world. Iskandar Malaysia, which covers much of southern Johor, is the country's largest special economic zone by investment value.

The Johor State Legislative Assembly (Malay: Dewan Negeri Johor) is the unicameral legislature of the Malaysian state of Johor. It is composed of 56 members who are elected from single-member constituencies throughout the state. Elections are held no more than five years apart. Prior to the 2022 state election, elections are always held concurrently with the federal parliament and other state assemblies elections (except Sarawak).

The State Assembly convenes at Sultan Ismail Building in Kota Iskandar, Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru.

Iskandar Puteri (formerly known as Nusajaya) is a city and the administrative capital of the state of Johor, Malaysia. It is situated along the Straits of Johor at the southern end of the Malay Peninsula and the southernmost city of continental Eurasia. Together with the adjacent cities of Johor Bahru and Pasir Gudang, it is located within the Johor Bahru District, the second largest district in Malaysia by population. The 15th busiest container port in the world, Port of Tanjung Pelepas, is also located in the city.

Iskandar Puteri hosts Kota Iskandar, which represents the seat of government of the state of Johor (Executive branch & Legislative branch).

Cahaya Jauhar (Cahaya Jauhar Sdn Bhd) is a Government Linked Company in Johor, Malaysia. It is a special vehicle joint venture company between the State of Johor under state-owned Johor State Secretary Incorporation (JSSI) and the Malaysia Federal Government under government linked company, UEM Land Berhad (Master Developer of Iskandar Puteri) to develop the new Johor State's administrative centre, which later known as Kota Iskandar and other government institutional building in Iskandar Puteri.
