Boston Dynamics, Inc. is an American engineering and robotics design company founded in 1992 as a spin-off from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, Boston Dynamics has been owned by the Hyundai Motor Group since December 2020, but it only completed the acquisition in June 2021.

Boston Dynamics develops a series of dynamic, highly mobile robots, including BigDog, Spot, Atlas, and Handle. In 2019, Spot became its first commercially available robot. The company has stated its intent to commercialize its other robots, including Handle.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V., commonly known by the acronym FCA, was an Italian-American multinational corporation primarily known as a manufacturer of automobiles, commercial vehicles, auto parts and production systems.

The corporation was established by January 2012, when Fiat Group acquired a 58.5% stake of the Chrysler Group (which from 1998 to 2007 was part of DaimlerChrysler) and thus became, at that time, the 7th largest automaker (behind Toyota, General Motors, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Ford and Nissan). Its corporate headquarters were domiciled in Amsterdam and its financial headquarters were in London. The holding company was listed on the New York Stock Exchange and Milan's Borsa Italiana. Exor, an Italian investment group controlled by the Agnelli family, owned 29% of FCA and controlled 44% through a loyalty voting mechanism, the largest block of shares.

Stellantis N.V. is a multinational automotive manufacturing corporation formed in 2021 through the merger of the French PSA Group and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), which was itself created by the merger of Italy's Fiat and the US-based Chrysler, completed in stages between 2009 and 2014. Stellantis is headquartered in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, while the CEO now operates from Auburn Hills, Michigan.

As of 2025, Stellantis ranked as the world's fifth-largest automaker by global sales volume, behind Toyota, Volkswagen Group, Hyundai Motor Group, and the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance. That same year, it placed 61st on the Forbes Global 2000 list of the world’s largest public companies. Stellantis shares are listed on the Euronext Paris, Borsa Italiana, and New York Stock Exchange.

Hyundai Group (Korean: 현대그룹; Korean pronunciation: [ˈçəːndɛ]) is a South Korean conglomerate founded by Chung Ju-yung. The group was founded in 1947 as a construction company. With government assistance, Chung and his family members rapidly expanded into various industries, eventually becoming South Korea's second chaebol. Chung Ju-yung was directly in control of the company until his death in 2001.

The company spun off many of its better known businesses after the 1997 Asian financial crisis and founder Chung Ju-yung's death, including Hyundai Motor Group, Hyundai Department Store Group, and Hyundai Heavy Industries Group. The Hyundai Group now focuses on elevators and tourism to Mount Kumgang.

Hyundai Motor Company, often referred to as Hyundai Motors (Korean: 현대자동차) and commonly known as Hyundai (현대; [ˈhjəːndɛ]; 'modernity'), is a South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, which was founded in 1967. Currently, the company owns 33.88 percent of Kia Corporation, and owns a luxury cars subsidiary, Genesis. The three brands altogether make up the Hyundai Motor Group.

Hyundai operates the second largest automobile manufacturing facility in the world in Ulsan, South Korea which has an annual production capacity of 1.6 million units. The company employs approximately 75,000 people worldwide. Hyundai vehicles are sold in 193 countries through 5,000 dealerships and showrooms. As of November 2024, Hyundai is the world's third-largest carmaker in terms of production, behind competitors Toyota and Volkswagen.

Peugeot S.A., commonly known by the acronym PSA and PSA Group (French pronunciation: [ɡʁup pe ɛs ɑ]) (formerly PSA Peugeot Citroën and PSA Peugeot Talbot Citroën) was a French multinational automotive manufacturing company which produced automobiles and motorcycles under the Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel and Vauxhall brands.

On 18 December 2019, PSA Group and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) announced that they had agreed to the terms of a binding £38 billion merger. On 16 July 2020, both companies announced the new name for their merged operations, Stellantis. The deal closed on 16 January 2021. As of 2022, Stellantis is the fourth largest automaker by sales behind Toyota, Volkswagen, and Hyundai.
