Kiefer William Frederick Dempsey George Rufus Sutherland (born 21 December 1966) is a British and Canadian actor. William Joseph Baldwin (born February 21, 1963) is an American actor and the second-youngest of the four Baldwin brothers. He has starred in the films Flatliners (1990), Backdraft (1991), Sliver (1993), Virus (1999), The Squid and the Whale (2005), Forgetting Sarah Marshall, in which he portrayed himself, and the Netflix show Northern Rescue (2019). Baldwin is married to singer Chynna Phillips.

Oliver Platt (born January 12, 1960) is an American actor known for his work on stage and screen. He has been nominated for five Primetime Emmys, a Golden Globe Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and one Tony Award.

Following his acting debut in the 1988 film Married to the Mob, Platt gained prominence for his roles in Working Girl (1988), Flatliners (1990), Beethoven (1992), Indecent Proposal, Benny & Joon, The Three Musketeers (all 1993), A Time to Kill (1996), The Impostors, Bulworth, Dr. Dolittle (all 1998), Lake Placid, Three to Tango, and Bicentennial Man (all 1999). His other notable credits include Gun Shy, Ready to Rumble (both 2000), Don't Say a Word (2001), Pieces of April (2003), Kinsey (2004), The Ice Harvest, Casanova (both 2005), Frost/Nixon (2008), Year One, 2012 (both 2009), Please Give, Love & Other Drugs (both 2010), and X-Men: First Class (2011).

Richard C. Franklin is a sound editor. He was nominated at the 63rd Academy Awards for Best Sound Editing for the film Flatliners. The nomination was shared with Charles L. Campbell.

He has done over 90 films to date, including E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

Flatliners is a 2017 American science fiction psychological horror film directed by Niels Arden Oplev and written by Ben Ripley. A stand-alone sequel to and remake of the 1990 film of the same name, it stars Elliot Page, Diego Luna, Nina Dobrev, James Norton, and Kiersey Clemons. The story follows five medical students who attempt to conduct experiments that produce near-death experiences.

The film was released in the United States on September 29, 2017, by Sony Pictures, and was panned by critics, who generally remarked that it repeated the problems of the original in failing to do justice to its interesting premise.
