Mahé district, (/ˈmɑːheɪ/) natively Mayyazhi (Malayalam: [mɐjːɐɻi]), is one of the four census districts of the union territory of Puducherry, India. Administratively it falls under the Puducherry district. It consists of the whole of the Mahé region. Mahé is the smallest district of India in terms of land area. The total area of Mahé district is surrounded on three sides by Kannur District and one side by Kozhikode District. Geographically Mahé district is part of North Malabar region.

It is the sixth least populous district in the country (out of 773).

Bhavnagar district is a district of southeastern Gujarat, India, on the Saurashtra peninsula. The administrative headquarters is in the town of Bhavnagar.

Port Blair (pronunciation), officially named Srivijayapuram, is the capital city of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a union territory of India in the Bay of Bengal. It is also the local administrative sub-division (tehsil) of the islands, the headquarters for the district of South Andaman, and the territory's only notified town.

Port Blair is the entry point for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It is connected with mainland India by both air and sea. Car Nicobar (Pū in Car language) is the northernmost of the Nicobar Islands. It is also one of three local administrative divisions of the Indian district of Nicobar, part of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.Annual rainfall is 2,800 millimetres or 110 inches.

Murshidabad district is a district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Situated on the left bank of the river Ganges, the district is very fertile. Covering an area of 5,341 km (2,062 sq mi) and having a population 7.103 million (according to 2011 census), it is a densely populated district and the ninth most populous in India (out of 640). Berhampore city is the headquarters of the district.

The Murshidabad city, which lends its name to the district, was the seat of power of the Nawabs of Bengal. All of Bengal was once governed from this city. A few years after Nawab Siraj-ud-Daula lost to the British at the Battle of Plassey, the capital of Bengal was moved to the newly founded city of Calcutta, now called Kolkata.

Some states and union territories are further divided into divisions, which are made up of groups of districts. A division is led by an officer of the Indian Administrative Service, known as a divisional commissioner. There are 111 divisions in India.

The states of Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Tripura, Kerala as well as five of the union territories are not divided into divisions. Instead, these states and territories go directly from the state to the district level for administrative purposes.

Diu district (/ˈdiːuː/) (formerly Distrito de Dio) is one of the three districts of the union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu of India. The district is made up of Diu Island and two small enclaves of Simbor and Gogola, at the border with the state of Gujarat. The district headquarters are at Diu Town. It is the ninth least populous district in the country (out of 640).

Jamnagar district is a district of Gujarat in Western India. Its headquarters are located in the eponymous city of Jamnagar. It hosts the production facilities of large Indian companies such as Reliance. Among its attractions are several palaces, a Marine National Park and a Bird Sanctuary, known as Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary. In 2013, Devbhoomi Dwarka district was carved out of the western part of the district.

India's largest private company, Reliance Industries is developing world's largest zoo near by 28 kms from Jamnagar city. In Jamnagar, the company is also setting up biggest gigafactory, the biggest solar energy, the world's artificial intelligence infrastructure and Vantara (large-scale wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre).
