Mirditë in the context of "Mirditë District"

Rrëshen (Albanian definite form: Rrësheni) is a small town and a former municipality in Lezhë County, in northern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform, Rrëshen became a subdivision and the seat of the municipality Mirditë. It was the administrative seat of the former Mirditë District. The population at the 2023 census was 6,773.

The Fan is a river in northern Albania. It is formed by the confluence of two source rivers: the Great Fan (Albanian: Fan i Madh) and the Lesser Fan (Albanian: Fan i Vogël), that join a few kilometers west of the town Rrëshen.

The Great Fan rises near the village Kryezi, Qafë-Mali municipal unit, in the Shkodër County. It flows generally southwest through Fushë-Arrëz and Gjegjan. The Lesser Fan rises near the village Thirrë, in the municipal unit Fan, Mirditë municipality, Lezhë County. It flows southwest through Reps (Orosh) and just north of Rrëshen. West of Rrëshen the two source rivers unite and the Fan continues west to Rubik, and then south until it flows into the river Mat, east of Milot. The Mat in turn flows into the Adriatic Sea, near Fushë-Kuqe

Orosh (or Albanian: Oroshi) is a small village in Mirditë within the county of Lezhë in the northwest of the Republic of Albania. Geographically, it is located inside the mountainous region of northern Albania in the Valley of Fan.

The seat of the former municipality was the town of Reps. The former Orosh Abbey was located in the municipality. Terenzio Tocci gathered the Mirdita chieftains on April 26, 1911, in Orosh, proclaimed the independence of Albania, raised the flag of Albania and established the provisional government.

Rubik is a town in northern Albania. It lies along national highway SH30. At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipality Mirditë. The population at the 2023 census was 2,550.

The municipal unit consists of the town of Rubik at its center and eleven peripheral villages: Fang, Katund i Vjeter, Bulshizë, Rasfik, Fierzë, Munaz, Rreja e Velës, Livadhëza, Vau Shkjezë, Rrethi i Eperm, Bulgër, and Rreja e Zezë. It holds the site of the Rubik Monastery Church, built in the 12th century AD.

Selitë is a former municipality in the Lezhë County, northwestern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipality Mirditë. The population at the 2023 census was 358.

The settlement holding town status is Kurbnesh. The municipal unit was once part of the Oher district, but this district was divided between Mati and Mirdita.
