Central Valley of Tarija (Spanish: valle central de Tarija) is a wide interandean valley and wine region in southern Bolivia. It is located in the Tarija Department in which, with its approximate surface of 1,849 km², makes up 5.5% of the surface area of the department. Representa el 5.5. % del territorio Departamental.. It is named after the city of Tarija that lies in the valley. The valley holds about 80% of the wine and singani grapes planted in Bolivia, seconded by Cinti Valley with 15%. The bioclimate of the area has been described as one of montane subhumid forests. The elevation of the valley ranges from 1600 to over 2300 m a.s.l.

Tarija (Spanish pronunciation: [taˈɾixa] ) is a department in Bolivia. It is located in south-eastern Bolivia bordering with Argentina to the south and Paraguay to the east. According to the 2024 census, it has a population of 534,348 inhabitants. It has an area of 37,623 km (14,526 sq mi). The city of Tarija is the capital of the department. The capital lies in a broad agricultural valley known as the Central Valley of Tarija which covers 5.5% of the surface area of the department.

Tarija or San Bernardo de la Frontera de Tarixa is a city in southern Bolivia. Founded in 1574, Tarija is the largest city and capital and municipality within the Tarija Department, with an airport offering regular service to primary Bolivian cities, like Bolivia capital La Paz, as well as a regional bus terminal with domestic and international connections. Its climate is semi-arid (BSh) with generally mild temperatures in contrast to the harsh cold of the Altiplano (e.g., La Paz) and the year-round humid heat of the Amazon Basin (e.g., Santa Cruz de la Sierra). Tarija has a population of 234,442 as of 2013.

The cities lies in a depression in the eastern Andes known as the Central Valley of Tarija.
