Baku Airport Highway or the Heydar Aliyev International Airport Highway (Azerbaijani: Bakı Aeroport Yolu; Heydər Əliyev Beynəlxalq Aeroportu Yolu), also known as the Mardakan Highway (Mərdəkan Yolu), is a major highway in the Absheron Peninsula of the Baku Metropolitan Area, serving as the main road connecting Heydar Aliyev International Airport and the municipality of Mardakan to the capital city of Baku. It runs from eastern end of Boyuk Shor Highway and heads eastward towards Mardakan. It also serves the settlements of Bina, connects itself with Shagan near Mardakan, and serves as a major crosspoint with its Baku Airport Roundabout, which also connects the settlement of Zykh and the Zykh Circle-Heydar Aliyev International Airport Road to the main road.

The Khazar raion or Khazar rayon (Azerbaijani: Xəzər rayonu) is one of the 12 rayonlar in Baku, Azerbaijan. It has a population of 204,736. Khazar rayon is a part of the Baku Metropolitan Area which makes up a majority of the Absheron Peninsula, with a total population of 3,675,000 people. The district is home to the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, busiest airport in the Caucasus, and one of the busiest airports in post-Soviet countries and West Asia. It is connected to the majority of the settlements in the district by Baku Airport Highway, which also serves as the main road which connects eastern Absheron to the capital city of Baku.

Heydar Aliyev International Airport (Azerbaijani: Heydər Əliyev adına Beynəlxalq Hava Limanı; IATA: GYD, ICAO: UBBB) is an airport serving Azerbaijan's capital, Baku, and one of the seven international airports of Azerbaijan. It is the busiest airport both in Azerbaijan and in the South Caucasus as well as one of the busiest in the post-Soviet countries. Formerly, it was called Bina International Airport, named after a suburb of Bina located within the metropolitan area of Baku. The airport is 20 kilometers northeast of Baku, connected to the city by Baku Airport Highway. It serves as the hub for national carrier Azerbaijan Airlines as well as for Azal Avia Cargo and Silk Way West Airlines.
