In Greek mythology, there were two women known as Philonoe /fɪˈloʊnoʊˌiː/ (Ancient Greek: Φιλονόη) or Phylonoe (Φυλονόη):

• Philonoe, a Spartan princess as the daughter of King Tyndareus and Leda, daughter of King Thestius of Pleuron. She was the sister of Castor and Pollux, Helen, Clytemnestra, Timandra and Phoebe. Artemis made her immortal.
• Philonoe, daughter of Iobates and first wife of Bellerophon by whom, she became the mother of Isander (Peisander), Hippolochus and Laodamia (Deidamia or Hippodamia). Philonoe was the sister of Stheneboea who loved Bellerophon more than her current husband, King Proetus of Argos. She was promised to Bellerophon after he vanquished the Chimera, the Amazons, and more tasks. Bellerophon was given half the kingdom as well as Philonoe's hand in marriage. She was also known under several other names: Alkimedousa or Cassandra, Anticleia, or Pasandra.

In Greek mythology, Peisander or Pisander (/paɪˈsændər, ˈpaɪˌsændər/; Ancient Greek: Πείσανδρος Peisandros) may refer to the following characters:

• Pisander, also called Isander, a Lycian prince as son of Bellerophon and Philonoe, daughter of King Iobates. In some accounts, his mother was known as Alkimedousa, Anticleia, Pasandra or Cassandra. Pisander's siblings were Hippolochus (father of Glaucus) and Laodamia (also called Deidamia or Hippodamia, mother of Sarpedon by Zeus). He was slain by Ares, as he fought against the Solymi, a Lycian tribe.
• Pisander, an Achaean soldier commanded a company of Myrmidons. He was the son of Maemalus.
• Pisander, a Trojan warrior and son of Antimachus. He was the brother of Hippolochus, Hippomachus, and Tisiphone. During the Trojan War, Pisander and Hippolochus asked Agamemnon for mercy and to be taken prisoner alive, saying that their rich father would pay a ransom for him. They were nevertheless slain by Agamemnon.
• Pisander, another Trojan soldier who was killed by Menelaus.
• Pisander, a native of Abydos in Troad and the father of Maenalus, a Trojan warrior.
• Pisander, son of Polyctor and one of the suitors of Penelope from Same along with other 22 wooers. He was slain by Philoetius during the assault of Odysseus.
• Pisander, in Plutarch's Life of Aristides, one of the seven heroes to whom the Athenians, according to an oracle, had to sacrifice if they wanted to overcome their foes in the imminent battle. The other six were Androcrates, Leucon, Damocrates, Hypsion, Actaeon and Polyeidus.

• Laodamia (or Hippodamia), a Lycian princess as the daughter of Bellerophon and Philonoe, daughter of King Iobates. Her mother was also known Alkimedousa, Anticleia, Pasandra or Cassandra. Laodamia's brothers were Hippolochus and Isander, and by Zeus, she became the mother of Sarpedon. She was shot by Artemis (that is, died a sudden, instant death) one day when she was weaving. Diodorus Siculus called her Deidamia, the wife of Evander, who was a son of Sarpedon the elder and by her father of Sarpedon the younger. Xanthus was also called the father of Sarpedon according to one account.
• Laodamia, daughter of Acastus and Astydamia and the wife of Protesilaus. When her husband fell in the Trojan War, Laodamia committed suicide rather than be without him.
• Laodamia or Leaneira, an Arcadian queen as the wife of King Arcas by whom she became the mother of Elatus, Apheidas and Triphylus. Laodamia was the daughter of King Amyclas of Sparta and Diomede, daughter of Lapithes. Through this parentage, she was considered the sister of Argalus, Cynortes, Hyacinthus, Polyboea, Hegesandra and, in other versions, of Daphne.

• Laodamia, wife of Anticlus. Her husband was one of the men who were hiding in the Trojan Horse.
• Laodamia, alternate name for Iphthime, daughter of Icarius of Sparta and Asterodia, daughter of Eurypylus. She was the sister of Penelope, Amasichus, Phalereus, Thoon, Pheremmelias, Perilaos. Laodamia was also called Laodice, Mede and Hypsipyle.
• Laodamia or Arsinoe, nurse of Orestes. She saved his life by sending him to Strophius after the murder of Agamemnon, whereas Aegisthus killed her own son, taking him for Orestes.
• Laodamia, alternate name for Hippodamia (wife of Pirithous) occurring in a red-figure vase painting.

In Greek mythology, Alcimedusa or Alkimedousa (Ancient Greek: Αλκιμέδουσαν) was the Lycian princess who became the wife of the hero Bellerophon and the mother of his children. She was commonly called Philonoe or else named Anticlea, Cassandra or Pasandra.

Periphetes (/ˌpɛrɪˈfiːtiːz/; Ancient Greek: Περιφήτης) is the name of several characters from Greek mythology.

• Periphetes, an Arcadian king as the son of Nyctimus, son of King Lycaon. He was the father of Parthaon, ancestor of Psophis, one of the possible eponyms for the city of Psophis.
• Periphetes, also known as Corynetes (Κορυνήτης) meaning Club-Bearer from the club (κορύνη) which he carried, was a son of Hephaestus and Anticleia or of Poseidon. Periphetes was lame (possibly in his feet, πόδας) like his father and used a bronze club as a crutch. He roamed the road from Athens to Troezen where he robbed travelers and killed them with his club. Theseus encountered and killed him near Epidauros (See Plutarch, Life of Theseus, et al.).
• Periphetes, son of Copreus; he was killed during the Trojan War by Hector.
• Periphetes, king of Mygdonia. He fought with Sithon for the hand of the latter's daughter Pallene and was killed.
• Periphetes, a Trojan who was killed by Teucer.

In Greek mythology, Diocles (Ancient Greek: Διοκλῆς Dioklēs) may refer to:

• Diocles, king of Pherae as son of previous ruler Orsilochus. He was possibly the brother of Medusa, wife of Polybus of Corinth and Dorodoche, wife of Icarius of Sparta. Diocles was the father of the twins Orsilochus and Crethon, and also of Anticleia, the mother of Nicomachus and Gorgasus by Machaon. These two grandsons succeeded him on the throne after his death. In the Odyssey, Telemachus and Peisistratus spent a night at his house on their way to Sparta, as well as on their way back.
• Diocles or Dioclus, king and one of the first priests of Demeter, and one of the first to learn the secrets of the Eleusinian Mysteries, along with Triptolemus and Polyxenus.
• Diocles, king of Megara, who was overthrown by Theseus, as a result of which Eleusis was annexed from Megara. He may be identical with #2.

In Greek mythology, Nicomachus (Ancient Greek: Νικόμαχος) may refer to two different figures:

• Nicomachus, son of Anticlia and Machaon, son of Asclepius.
• Nicomachus, one of the Suitors of Penelope who came from Dulichium along with other 56 wooers. He, with the other suitors, was killed by Odysseus with the help of Eumaeus, Philoetius, and Telemachus.
