Anamorava (Albanian: Anamoravë), or Kosovo Pomoravlje (Serbian: Косовско Поморавље / Kosovsko Pomoravlje, "Morava Valley of Kosovo"), is a valley in Kosovo, in the southern part of the District of Gjilan surrounding the Morava e Binçës River. It stretches eastward to the Preševo Valley in southern Serbia. The mountains in this region, rising to an altitude of 1,000–1,200 metres (3,300–3,900 ft), border the Skopska Crna Gora region in north of Skopje. Gjilan, Kamenica, Novo Brdo and Viti are municipalities located in the region.

Anamorava in the context of Gjilan

Gjilan (Albanian definite form: Gjilani) or Gnjilane (Serbian Cyrillic: Гњилане), is the third most populous city in Kosovo and it serves as both a municipality and the administrative center of the Gjilan District. According to the 2024 census, the municipality of Gjilan has a population of 82,901 with the majority residing in the city.

The city is located in the east of Kosovo, in the region of Anamorava, and is well connected with the capital city of Kosovo, Pristina, as well as other surrounding cities such as Ferizaj, Kamenica, Preševo and Bujanovac.

Anamorava in the context of Morava e Binçës

Binačka Morava (Albanian: Morava e Binçës, or Mirusha, indefinite form: Mirushë; Macedonian and Serbian Cyrillic: Биначка Морава) is a river which flows in southeastern Kosovo and North Macedonia. It flows generally in a southwest to northeast direction, from the Kosovar-Macedonian border to Bujanovac, where, after 49 km, it meets Preševska Moravica, to create the South Morava.
